In 1989 I purchased this vacuum because the shop owner convinced me to pay the additional fifty dollars at the time to upgrade for a more durable unit over the standard Mighty-mite. Well over five different home renos and 31 years that unit served as both my home vacuum and shopvac. Opening the box and giving this new one a test run, I'm looking forward to many more years of satisfaction. It is powerful and appears still to be well made.
