Disappointed that the switch was plastic rather than metal as shown in picture, and like the one being replaced. It does the job, just does not look as good.

I have a model SANITAIRE upright vacuum with a 6.5 amp motor. The current switch is a RAYNOR 6600-6699. Will the switch identified above as OEM #3640913 work in my vacuum? Thank you.

If this is a metal hood model it will work just fine.
