Q:
When I use my vacuum for 20 minutes the chrome cover over the motor gets so hot you can't put your hand on it for 5 seconds. I really think I could fry an egg on it. Is this normal? Should it get this hot? I just had a new motor installed in it last week.

It sounds s if the intake vent were missing.
